What does it mean when a submissive has no control over the situation or how they are able to respond?

In my head it means that I wasn’t in the driver seat. More thought and introspection as Rika likes to put it, seems to be what I need to understand better.

I can submit all I want but if the body responds one way, how it’s been conditioned, there seems much work on the mind as well as body part of the slash.

I feel like I am left with more questions about how best to proceed. I’ve been given materials to read through so that is probably the best first step… Along with questions and hopefully answers but we’ll see whether they are forthcoming in the near future without actually finishing the book that I’m currently reading through.

I’d like to believe that I’m a fairly astute study but there are things that just seem to go counter to how I was brought into this world in the start so there’s a lot of remedial adjustments that seem to be needed I guess.

I do hope that the answers are forthcoming in the near-ish future has It bugs my ass to not know these things and how to respond in an appropriate manner I’d like to be the best sub that I could be but it’s difficult without more guidance.
