Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
A computer over the last dozen years has been full with or without a computer but for the most part has revolved around manual labor along with extensive exercise and finding better ways to live my life.
Much of this time has been with a computer if not several of them. I’m struggling with the idea of not having a computer of some kind, because it a desktop or laptop if not a cellphone as well. If it is just without a desktop or laptop and still having a cellphone then it’s simple.
The simple truth being that I’d write and read as I’ve mostly been doing over the last few months while I was a janitor. The computers hadn’t played a part in my last year or so since my practicum had come to a completion. If my future resolves in to a situation where I don’t have a computer and I only do manual labor and write solely on my cellphone.
I’d likely continue enjoying life as much as possible and continue looking for better opportunities such as bar or security work and possibly construction or other trade style work. A step off my current path isn’t the end but an opportunity for a different life, something that puts me back in factories or entertainment establishment work. I’m multi talented enough to pick up most jobs with minimal experience needed.
Ultimately though without computers, my lifelong dream to work on computers developing software work amount to dust and I’ll likely need something to be passionate about.
