What technology would you be better off without, why?

Good morning friends.

I believe that we would be better off without the technology to split atoms. Yes there have been benefits to this in that now we can generate massive amounts of electricity but the long term effects of radioactive waste from the activity.

I’m fairly certain that many in Japan wish there had never been atoms split. Russians in the Chernobyl area are also likely to wish the technology had never been invented.

I would argue that we need better technology to handle the radioactive effects of using this means to produce energy. Safer ways to prevent radiation poisoning.
