The door is the decision yes or no.

The frame holding the door is the framework asking a question.

The hinges holding the door to the frame only really get the benefit of the door when the answer varies from time to time.

Opening that door up can be beneficial. It reuses the framework and frame with door and hinges to reinforce previous uses.

Waiting for the door to open can be long and painful. With any luck I won’t break the frame when I try to open it the next time.
